Great Plains Economic Challenge

Ten economics students got the opportunity to show their knowledge at the Great Plains Economics Challenge on Monday, March 26th, 2012at Moorhead State University. The ten students competed individually and also on two teams of five. Individually Steffan Stroh placed 1st, Marshal Thompson placed 2nd and Breanna Vogel placed 3rd. The Underwood team of Marshal Thompson, Steffan Stroh, Breanna Vogel, Meredith Turner, and Greta Thormodson won 1st place, which means they were able to go on and compete at the state level. The Rocket team of Soshiro Tachibana, Megan Beigler, Kaitlyn Holen, Ben Field, and Brittany Schleske won 3rd. The students compete in the areas of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, International Economics, and Current Events.
