Welcome to the Underwood School District, the proud home of the Rockets!!

Our mission continues to have a strong focus on “Preparing students to contribute to and thrive in an ever-changing world through relevant and engaged learning within a supportive community”. We continue to strive for educational excellence through providing a safe, respectful and nurturing learning environment for all students. The school district has a rich tradition of providing strong educational opportunities for all learners. Smaller class sizes in our K-12 school continue to support a positive learning environment where teachers are able to build strong relationships with their students to help them grow academically, emotionally, socially and physically. A strong reading intervention program is in place at the elementary level to support all learners. The majority of our high school students take advantage of the opportunity of starting a college transcript by earning college credits, via 27 different college course offerings that are available in-house or online. Our students continue to excel in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities in the areas of music, drama, academic clubs and sports.  The school district is proud of their strong graduation rates, which average around 97%. U.S. News & World Report has recognized Underwood High School for ELEVEN straight years as being one of the “Best High Schools in MN”.
