Elks National Foundation  - Most Valuable Student and Legacy Awards
Most Valuable Student 
App Due Nov 15, 2020 - Online Application only
The Elks National Foundation awards 500 four year scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need.  The national awards will be announced in April 2021.  This scholarship is for students pursuing a 4 year degree.  Applicants do not have to be related to a member of the Elks and male and female students compete separately.  
Please choose Bismarck Mandan Elks lodge 1199 as your sponsoring lodge.

Legacy Awards
App due Feb 5, 2021
The legacy awards program provide $4000 scholarships to children and grandchildren of dues-paying Elk members.  The ENF offers a total of 350 national awards.

 Hagan Scholarship
App Due by November 15, 2020
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need based merit scholarship designed to help high achieving students graduate college debt free.  Some eligibility requirements are you must have a GPA of 3.75 and ranked in the top 20% of your class.  You must be enrolled at an eligible 4 year college the first semester following high school graduation.  More information can be found online.

AgCountry Farm Credit Service
App Due by March 1, 2021
Thirty six scholarships for $1,000 each will be awarded to high school seniors who plan to enroll in college in the fall of 2021.  The recipient may be from an actively farming or ranching family or planning to pursue an agricultural career.  This means that seniors from a farming or ranching family are eligible, regardless of their career intentions. Also, seniors intending to pursue ag careers are eligible, regardless of whether they have a farm background.

Tip #1:  Have you talked to your church, insurance agent, bank,or your parents' place of employment yet?  Those are all excellentresources for scholarships. 

Tip #2:  You never know what you are capable of unless you try -don’t be the student that later regrets not going for it and giving ittheir all.

Tip #3:  If you are going to apply, do a good job.  Theperson/people reviewing it won’t spend time trying to understand yourhandwriting and will know if you took your time on it.
